OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly-collaborative and people centric, operationally savvy HR Manager to join our team!  The HR Manager will work closely with upper management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and values.  This individual contributes to the overall effectiveness of the department, managing the day-to-day across the core HR functions for the retail and corporate employee populations.  The HR Manager will be critical in identifying and resolving employee relations issues, compliance, recruitment, performance management, policy interpretation and implementation, culture building and other HR projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Develop and align HR Strategy to support the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Oversee and ensure seamless execution HR programs, including but not limited to the anniversary program, engagement activities, benefits, and leave; performance management, recognition, and morale; talent and recruitment, occupational health and safety and other company initiatives.
  • Demonstrate teamwork within and outside of the HR department, developing strong internal rapport cross-functionally, serving as a trusted advisor and business partner across the organization.
  • Supervise the HR team’s day-to-day functions, providing guidance, support and mentorship.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management and to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure efficient streamlined processes are in place for routine tasks and HR operations, resulting in maintenance and accuracy of databases, budgets, reports, organizational charts, employee records, etc.
  • Develop review and revise department presentations, communications, policies and documents.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for internal purposes or as required relating to benefits, compensation, demographics, etc
  • Collaborate and coordinate on all HR led company events, actively researching and sourcing ideas for employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and motivated workplace culture.
  • Monitor employee morale and satisfactions through surveys and feedback mechanisms, proposing strategies to address areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a key resource and credible partner for providing guidance on various HR situations, processed and procedures.
  • Advise, coach and counsel management on employee relations issues with consistency and in accordance with Company policy, best practice and statutory requirements.
  • Manage and conduct investigations with the goal of thorough and timely completion, presenting recommendations and facilitating resolutions.
  • Position the company as an employer of choice in the industry, ensuring that our recruitment strategy attracts top talent and retaining high performing employees.
  • Oversee the full recruitment process from posting to onboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for candidates, new hires, and hiring managers.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director and SVP of HR to complete special projects.
  • Develop strong partnerships with external vendors to ensure effective partnerships
  • Continually evaluate effectiveness of existing HR processes, identifying areas of opportunity and recommending improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience working in the HR function, preferably in the luxury/high-end retail industry.
  • At least 3 years in a generalist function and 1 year of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or other related field.
  • Knowledge of basic employment and labor related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and time management skills.
  • Resourceful problem solver with exceptional detail orientation and organization, able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Must be a people centric self-starter with the ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attitude of continuous improvement and learning, with ability to adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.

 

SALARY RANGE: $85,000.00-95,000.00 per year commensurate upon experience.
